Recent advances in information and communication technology on mobile communication have revolutionized the way individuals interact, communicate, and go about their daily lives. Smart mobile devices, also known as smartphones, replaced traditional cell phones. A smartphone may be quickly taken around as a device for communication, recording, playing, or editing sounds, photos, videos, and taking notes by today’s generation. The world of communication is just within our fingertips.

There is no limit to the usage and purposes of smartphone applications that you may download for your phone. People from all walks of life cannot get away from a smartphone. There is a need to stay connected.

Smartphones have become a necessity, and people feel adrift without them. Other than connectivity, one main factor is the longevity of the battery. We often glance from time to time at the display percentage of battery life. We may get affected when a critical warning is displayed: uneasy feeling, frightened and stressed, and even rush home, looking for cables everywhere and demanding charges from anybody. Some people may have a phobia or a psychological condition in which they are afraid of being disconnected from mobile connectivity, known as “NOMOPHOBIA.”

We do have our power banks which are a standard accessory. There are moments when we forget to recharge, or the end of life is near. I discovered a great innovation during the Philippine Chamber of Commerce Quezon City Chapter (PCCIQC) with the emphasis on modern technology to support our need to stay connected. The technology allows people to rent a power bank from a growing list of establishments. The beauty is one can even bring home the power bank and return to the nearest location. It is like renting a car and dropping off at a convenient location.

Establishments do earn from being an accredited location. I was amazed to see the unit’s flexibility and space. The company behind it is called X-Power Technology. I followed the process by downloading the app for both IOS and ANDROID, and alas, I got access to the power bank. What is also convenient is It allows me to charge other smartphones.

Today life need not be stressful. There are conveniences within our surroundings. Next time we glance at our smartphone batter, relax and check out the app to find the nearest establishment to rent a power bank.
