How To Make Your Business Remain Relevant in 2022

In 2019, we had an unexpected visitor that we never realized would stay for some time – COVID19. Indeed, it paralyzed our economy and the whole world. The first few months, we were all worried about how we could handle such a blow. Not only thinking about the businesses that needed to be shut down but, most importantly, to ensure our family’s health and the future. Luckily, Filipinos are resilient people who can find ways to make things work in the new normal.

However, with COVID19 still apparent, some of us may doubt how to successfully retain the businesses we started. And I can completely understand how you feel because for as long as the number of individuals affected by the virus increases, we can never have some peace of mind. But then again, we should not let fear hover over our thoughts, and that life must go on.

As an entrepreneur, you need to revisit your marketing plan and form and cohere effective business strategies that adapt to our times. COVID 19 isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Hence it is time to create strategic planning to respond to current trends.

With the quarantine guidelines reduced, expect the gradual reopening of businesses. However, along with this, customers would want to be assured of their safety. Take the necessary steps to ensure that your customers feel safe and protected, or they will find a similar business like yours.

      1. Monitor your local and national situation and adjust your practices accordingly.

  1. The rise of hybrid working has been an effective business strategy. Pre-pandemic, most businesses did not think that it was that necessary. But the pandemic has helped us realize that our lives should not stop just because we could not be physically present where we are needed. Businesses need to transition to the cloud to remain relevant and continue to function with the rest of the world, which has become part of the digital world.
  2. Be where your customers are. We know that businesses have opened up to welcome their customers. However, some may still have second thoughts about being outside of their homes most of the time. Thus, it is likely that online orders/transactions would remain high in demand. Suppose your business usually caters to face-to-face operations. In that case, it is high time to invest in an online system to increase your revenues.
  3. Take your social media presence to the next level. We know that having unique and engaging content will get any business noticed. But it is more than having colorful posts seen across various social media platforms. Companies need to create interesting posts that genuinely increase their revenues. You may have noticed how these influencers seem to have just popped out. Carefully choose who you would want to carry your brand, and it can help you be more successful.
  4. Be mindful of your employees’ needs. You don’t just need to focus on your customers to tweak your business/marketing plan. Do consider your employees’ welfare as well. They may also feel the need to work remotely for their safety while providing quality work. Jobs remotely performed should be allowed to set new policies about it.
  5. Open your mind to a bigger perspective. Disruptions in local and international travels may have made us focus on building our business locally. However, our current situation should not hinder us from becoming more prominent. There is always a possibility of expanding the company if guided. Nurture your relationship with your customers, as this will be the mark of a better future for your business.

2022 does not promise a smooth year since the uncertainty remains. Thus, prepare your company for whatever might come and expect that the business will grow in time.
