How to Be Happy and Successful

Most people believe that it is not possible to become happy in our own personal lives and be successful with what we do. It was like people had the option which to choose between private life and their career or business. But if we all think this way, just imagine how life is really an unhappy place. Indeed, there is no such thing as perfect, but every one of us deserves to be happy and live life to the fullest. After all, we only die once. It’s a common saying how people would tell others that we only live once. But actually, we get to have a chance to live every single day. And that is something that we should all be thankful for. Busy entrepreneurs may be a large majority who have glued themselves into their businesses- rarely having enough time to rest, particularly for start-up businesses. And I could just imagine all the struggles that one has to endure to the point of sacrificing so many things, including having quality time with family. While we have often read from several business/motivational articles that an entrepreneur needs to offer so many things to be successful. I do think that the sacrifice should not be throughout their lifetime.

I can honestly say that I have also been a workaholic person even today. I do try to give myself some time to get energized and recuperate from all the stresses starting from the heavy traffic in EDSA. I would often advise young individuals to start building their financial wealth at an early age to not need to work until they are 60 and live until 75. That is such an unhappy thought!

As a business mentor, I am not only a business consultant to my clients. But I also inject inspirational thoughts on how they remain grounded despite their success and to be able to look back to where they came from. My happiness does not just mean that I have people who trust what I do. But most importantly, knowing that I give joy and inspiration to so many people. I am happy that God gave me the gift to use my lips to inspire others so that they do not only focus on building their businesses but also learn to become an individual who has the heart for the people who help them with their businesses.

An entrepreneur’s challenges can easily be turned into positive….just pray and listen to what your heart says.

Living a happy life…emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially

What makes a person unhappy and disappointed is when they expect that they can make their lives perfect. As I have mentioned, there is no such thing as excellent in any aspect of life. But, if you choose to see a positive perspective on anything and everything, that would make you happier than you can ever be.

1. Life has no guarantee. No matter how hard you may have spent studying the business, there will always come a time when things may not go on just like you expect them to be. One day you rake in thousands, the next day, you may not. It’s as simple as understanding that the movement of the market may not always be the same. Each day, a new business opens up, which may be similar to yours. People will be curious about how it can be different from what you offer. But when you provide only the best products and services, people will surely come back to you.
2. Good enough is good enough. This means that you need to be satisfied with what you have and not hurry to climb the ladder of success. Every entrepreneur may strive for perfection. And again, if you have this kind of mindset, you will always end up unhappy. Know that there is always room for improvement. For as long as you did your best, the best things are sure to come.
3. Life does not revolve around your existence. In any kind of business, it takes more than an entrepreneur to become successful. Never forget the people who help you make things possible for the company. And always give credit where credit is due. I realized that the more I praise and acknowledge the work of the people who helps me makes they love their work. And this makes them highly productive because they know that they’re not taken for granted.
4. Bright ideas cannot always be created inside your four-corner office room. Just like writer’s block, no matter how much you bang your head on the wall, but if you lack inspiration, it is unlikely for you to come up with great things to say to the readers. While others may seem to be more comfortable thinking alone in their room. Others may feel that they become more creative by being in other places, by looking at people or incidents. If you must, learn to use a voice recorder so that you can just click it on whenever something comes into your mind.
5. Aim for your happiness and not your success. Now, I know that people may see this differently. Some people would have the thought of closing a deal to earn them millions. That is their interpretation of happiness. But for me, happiness is a mindset. If you choose to be happy, then for me, that is success itself.

What makes you have a peaceful sleep at night? Is it because of the new car you bought, the latest designer bag, or the latest travels you had? These are all material things. It simply dictates your happiness based on earthly things. Your satisfaction is making peace with others and within yourself. Happiness is giving joy to others and sharing your blessings. Happiness is seeing the fruits of your hardship – your children finishing college and have all grown up to become very responsible and God-fearing individuals. When you see things this way, then that is your success.
